Installing Oracle r12: The Beginning

Many of my potential clients are looking for consultants that have experience implementing Oracle r12, and therefore I decided to install Oracle r12 to learn all of its new features.  I will have to buy a PC, download Oracle and Windows Server 2003, and install them both.  Then, who knows what I will need to learn to start using Oracle r12.  This task is daunting, but I know I will learn a lot!

I will be using this website as my guide.

DOT Secretary LaHood: Highway Fund May Be Insolvent By Mid-August.

Why is the administration saying, flat out, that they will not increase the gas tax?  It makes the most sense to me; the people who use the roads will pay for it. Trucks wear them down more; they pay more based on their lower fuel economy.  People with light cars pay less.  It makes complete sense.

It would also make sense that health care costs associated with smoking be paid from the cigarette taxes, but that is a whole other topic for another day.
