Marriott Letter

October 17, 2007 Leave a comment

I usually put up my “Privacy Please” hanger on my door handle at the hotels I stay at because they always want to clean when I’m still sleeping and because I really don’t need my room cleaned every day. When I have that sign up, most hotels will slip something under the door telling me that I can call the front desk and ask them to clean the room if I want it cleaned later in the day. This hotel here in Norfolk I blogged about the other day has this letter that has been copied so many times, it’s getting to the point that they need to replace it. I think it’s very unprofessional. Take a look at it, this scan looks EXACTLY like it does in person:

SpringHill Suites

SpringHill Suites

I have been staying at the SpringHill Suites in Norfolk the past few weeks, and I must say, I am impressed.  The first few weeks in Norfolk VA I stayed at the TownePlace Suites, and I was not that happy about the cleanliness and quality of their hotel for the price I was paying.  I have the SAME rate at the SpringHill Suites as I did at the TownePlace Suites.  I tried to negotiate with the owner of the first hotel to get a better rate, but after 3 attempts, they never contacted me back.  So I gave up.  If you are ever in Norfolk VA looking for a hotel, I highly recommend the SpringHill Suites at 6350 Newtown road.
